Events in Accent Study Centers this Fall!

Throughout the year, Accent hosts a series of lectures and symposia open to students, local and visiting faculty, and the local academic community. Whether book launches, panel discussions, or debates, these events represent the depth and breadth of the academic networks in each Study Center. This fall, some events include:

  • Rome – workshop for the local international education community with Phil Georgiou, clinical psychotherapist, and colleagues, discussing student mental health and well being in study abroad. Georgiou is the director of Equilibrio, a mental health support service for study abroad programs across Europe.
  • London – panel discussion on the representation of Britishness and British cultural identity in the media
  • Florence – seminar discussing resurging interest in ancient grains, particularly in Tuscany and Sicily, and their connection to topics such as globalization, poverty and hunger, and migration
