Experiential Annenberg London

London
In this fall semester program, customized coursework at the Accent Study Center is integrated with an internship component, to provide students with workplace experience while abroad. The program specifically targets seniors, with the goal of facilitating their transition from school to the workforce.

Full-time Internship

Students dive right into the internship experience during the initial part of the program. For the first six weeks, participants intern full time at the assigned placements. In the meanwhile, they attend a workforce course, which provides them with a better understanding of British business culture and labor laws, helping place their experience in its proper context. Starting in the seventh week, four custom courses in communication, public relations, and journalism, complete the academic offering.

Expert Guidance, Custom Placements

Accent is an ally to students throughout the internship experience, from the placement process to the visa application to the actual internship with the host organization. An internship manager in London meets with each student in advance of the program to learn about their professional and academic interests, facilitates placements, and in London holds regular office hours and routinely visits students in their workplace. Students have constant support and immediate answers to any questions that may arise.
