In-depth Conversations on Campus

For twenty years, TCU and Accent have partnered on semester programs where TCU students take courses at both local universities and Accent Study Centers. After the Covid-19 pandemic highlighted the need for additional coordination, Accent supported the work of TCU Global in creating a new, centralized structure for faculty-directed short-term programs that allowed TCU students to be some of the first US students back abroad in summer 2021.

Every new program is developed through detailed conversations involving Accent, TCU Global, and campus faculty, to meet all strategic objectives and learning goals, while incorporating opportunities in experiential learning from Accent’s local networks. Throughout the years, Accent developed specific communication and safety protocols to match TCU policies and campus needs. On site, Accent local teams created intercultural learning workshops and learning activities specifically aimed at TCU students, providing students with the tools to make the most of their experience abroad.
