Accent Community College Scholarship

Beginning with its first community college partnerships in 1991, Accent has continued to offer affordable short-term and semester-length custom study abroad programs designed to meet the unique academic needs of the community college population. Through these efforts, Accent has enabled over 8,000 students from over
25 U.S. community colleges to study abroad over the past 30 years.

Building off of this history, Accent is proud to support the Accent Community College Scholarship program as part of our commitment pledge to IIE Generation Study Abroad, a nationwide effort to help more U.S. students gain international experience through study abroad programs. In partnership with our travel agent, FROSCH Student Travel, Accent offers multiple merit and need-based scholarships each term to community college students participating on Accent-supported programs offered through community colleges throughout the U.S.

Accent believes that international education is a critical element in today’s globally interconnected world, and is committed to increasing access to study abroad for students from diverse educational, ethnic, and social backgrounds. Students who are traditionally underrepresented in education abroad are strongly encouraged to apply.

Receiving that scholarship changed my life!

Traversing this city multiple times each day, with a baguette in my backpack and new bilingual — and often trilingual — friends by my side, I can’t help but feel that studying abroad with Accent has been an incredible point of entry into the beautiful and rich world of Parisian culture.

The staff at Accent were simply amazing! They took a genuine interest in all of the students. They were very welcoming on our first day and helpful in answering all of our questions. They were also a great support in adapting to our new environment.
